hey, i see you watch Heroes? Love it. Have you by any chance tried Battlestar Galactica? It’s pretty awesome. Oh, and I have been meaning to ask if the header you have is of you? I really like the design of it, did you do it? And if so, do you dabble in the design realm of life?

Oh, and one more thing? Who did your doll? About 5-7 years ago I started working on pixel designs (dolls, dollz, whatever you choose to call it) and it got me interested in photoshop and graphic design… which is why I now have my degree in it. So pixel stuff has a soft spot for me and that pixel doll is Excellent! The shading alone in the jeans is very very good.

    Amber,

The answer is yes to my header, it is a self portrait I took of myself, then brought into photoshop to add the background. I created the logo as well for my original blog, then changed the colors to match the new look. I have a BFA in Commercial Art. I don’t use it nearly as much as I would like to anymore, but still get a chance now and again. I am mostly in the pre-press area now getting plates ready for the presses.

As for my pixel guy, I created him here elouai.com. A fun little site! It is definitely one of the more detailed pixel dolls I’ve seen around.

And yes, Heroes is fantastic! It is one of the few shows this past year to grab my attention. The others being Kyle XY and Eureka. I haven’t really gotten into Battlestar Gallactica for some reason. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I grew up with the original.

Sounds like me… I do all the ad layouts for the newspaper I work at, not too creative but a great “entry level” job. Pre-Press would be something I would be interesting in learning but not getting too involved in because I have those dreams of a creative future (may or may not happen, ha!)
The banner is excellent and you should add some of your work on here (unless you fear it being taken… watermark it?) I would love to see some.

As for tv shows… I started watching KyleXY and liked it, didn’t LOVE it, but liked it. I stopped watching because my boyfriend is a TV snob and complained that we were watching the typical family style show (which I agree it was but it is also intriguing with it’s twist and mystery)… how is the show going anyways? Have they revealed anything? I loved the original BSG until they reached Earth, it got rediculous after that (but I believe that was a spin off wasn’t it… My memory back then is vague… too little). Eureka I haven’t caught yet but it looked good. What about Dr. Who? I was a fan when I was little and have been quite impressed with the new shows.

To quote one of those 90’s LilithFaire-type singers …

“You have the most unbelievable blue eyes I’ve ever seen.”

Or in this case “the most unbelievable blue eye …”

Well, thank you! If you want a funny read about Lilith Faire, you need to read this post at my friend’s blog about our experience there.

Hi! Got here from the Freshy website. Wanted to see what others are doing with this. Interesting blog! I have family in Boulder CO, and our birthdays are one day apart! :) And we have some stuff in common. Hope you don’t mind I add you to my blogroll. I am relatively new to blogging (consistently, that is) and don’t have much of a readership.

    Take care! :)

Hey there! :) Thanks for adding me to yours! Also, I responded to your comment on mine, about the theme. Wondering about a few things with it.
